Project Five

CARROLL STREET, BROOKLYN

The client wanted to transform the ground level patio of her rental apartment into a dining room garden without making alterations to the hardscape. A wooden privacy fence and concrete pavers were all that existed in the roughly 20’x20’ space located just off her kitchen. With a limited budget and quick turn-around in mind, I designed a lush container garden intended to soften the perimeter and pleasantly encroach on the dining space. The planting includes American Hornbeam and Fringe Tree along with Viburnum, Red Osier Dogwood and Hydrangea.
